2013 Kids Walk of Hope
For the last 7 years Australian teachers, builders, doctors and nurses have volunteered in Rwanda to help the country rebuild after the 1994 genocide.
To date a village for widows and orphans, a home for abandoned children and a preschool and primary school have been built. In addition over 10,000 preschool and primary school teachers have received training. Children have had medical checkups and received glasses and hearing aids
For the last 2 years preschool and primary school children in Australia have walked to raise money for these projects in Rwanda.
Details of this years event
When: February 16th 2013, register 8.30am for a 9am start.
Where: Wyong Christian School, on the oval
Who: Register your children and empower them to make a difference. Adult supervision is required.
Why: Support Preschools in Rwanda, Africa to resource them with quality care, teacher training and educational resources.
Cost: $6.50 per child or $15 per family (includes a bottle of water)
